Hello! I’m Xenia, the face behind all of the magic and chaos in the studio.

EBON Floral Design Studio is the evolution of my creative pursuits. I come from a diverse background, starting in wide media art and design, moving into hospitality, cooking, and customer relations. All of these amalgamated into my passion for floral design.

Here, at EBON FDS, I create intuitively, as I have always wanted to. The medium – predominantly flowers, being ephemeral means that I have to take great care in every part of the process, and I love that. The detail, the focus.

In weddings, the relationships and connections are the other half of my profession and passion. It is of utmost importance that I relate to my clients, make them feel comfortable and at ease. It’s like I was supposed to be here, after all of these years, like all the paths eventually led here

So what’s the story behind the name? EBON is an archaic, poetic word meaning black or dark brown. I started out with this brand as a monochromatic expression of my creativity, but as I grew in myself, and creatively, so did the colours. Black became watermelon, and white became yellow, a joyous and happy explosion of colour and contrast. While I am still a lover of all things dark and moody, I also adore the wonderful world of colour the potential it has to add instant soul.
